(1)
What Is The Purpose Of Establishing Project 2019 Chapters?

The purpose of establishing Project 2019 Chapters is to involve and engage the greatest possible number of black Americans in our goal to increase the education and knowledge of black Americans.

(2) What Are The Types Of Project 2019 Chapters?
Some of the usual types / purposes of Project 2019 Chapters include:
- Tutoring
- Mentoring
- College Preparation
- Scholarship Program
- Combinations of the above

Project 2019 Chapters are NOT limited to the purposes listed above. Other possibilities include:
- Direct intervention to prevent high school drop outs
- Direct intervention to rescue college peers who are in academic trouble
- Promoting and assisting in the establishment of additional Project 2019 Chapters
- Promoting Project 2019 to the media, celebrities, and politicians
- Etc.

Basically, a Project 2019 Chapter may be established for almost any legitimate purpose that will lead to the successful completion of the goals and objectives of Project 2019. The decision of the type / purpose of the Chapter will generally be left to the organizers of the Chapter. They will certainly have the best sense of what the needs are in their area, what will work best, the level of local support, and the strengths and the commitment of those who will be involved in the Chapter. About the only guidelines that are needed can be found in the Project 2019 Mission Statement and in the goals and objectives as stated in the book, "Project 2019," and on this web site.

(3) How Many Members Should There Be In A Project 2019 Chapter?
The is no set number of members required for Project 2019 Chapters. In general terms, the minimum number is the number of members required to accomplish the stated purpose and goals of the Local Chapter. As the membership of a Chapter increases, it is expected that the Chapter will either increase the breadth of its activities or expand the scope of its purpose and corresponding goals.

(4) Can I Associate An Existing Organization Or Program With Project 2019?
Yes. In fact, it makes a great deal of sense to do so. For example, almost every black church in America has an "education ministry" that almost exactly mirrors the principles and goals of Project 2019. If each church were to associate the Project 2019 name with their education ministry, it would immediately create a national theme that would further the individual goals of each church and improve their chance for individual successes. The leaders and the participants of each church's education ministry would understand that they are not operating in a vacuum but rather as a part of a larger cause. Also, a clear signal would be sent to the beneficiaries of the program that, after they have completed their education, they have an obligation to continue and further the goals of their church and Project 2019.

It is not only the education ministries of black churches that would benefit from national unity. There are thousands of companies and organizations that provide educational services and scholarship money to black Americans. Hundreds of black athletes, celebrities, and even private citizens have their own scholarship fund. This, in my opinion, is the epitome of "plantation mentality" - "I will take care of me and mine. You take care of you and yours." Black America will never succeed until this attitude is replaced with national unity driven by a common mission and a common goal.
